Coverage. All three components of the current DP Visual Arts syllabus — Create, Connect, and Communicate — are addressed across 42 lessons organised into 15 topics. Lessons span art-making forms and media, creative strategies and processes, investigation of artistic contexts, meaning and interpretation, critical reflection, and curatorial practice, with dedicated HL-only lessons extending breadth and depth of inquiry for higher-level candidates.
How the lessons work. Each lesson follows a structured teaching arc — an opening hook to surface prior thinking, guided concept development, structured practice, and an applied or evaluative task — with explicit learning objectives, key-concept framing, command-term focus, and ATL skill links. Every lesson ships with a lesson plan, a student worksheet, and a mark scheme, giving teachers a complete, classroom-ready sequence.
Assessment-ready. Resources are aligned to the assessment objectives across the visual arts examination papers and internal assessment components, supporting students in building the analytical, reflective, and curatorial skills required for the comparative study, the process portfolio, and the exhibition.
